Marie Blanton, Gunner’s owner, recalled the first encounter: “The first time I brought Gunner to the port, I thought he would bark loudly or show excitement when he met the dolphins, but he did the opposite. He lay down and watched, extremely calm. This is what attracted me to get Delta’s attention.” From that moment, a heartwarming friendship began to blossom.
With each visit, Gunner’s bond with Delta grew stronger. Despite the infrequency of their meetings, their connection remained unbreakable. Even though Gunner now visits the center only a few times a month, Delta always recognizes him, and their friendship continues to thrive.
